Traveling round Myanmar it didn't take long to figure out that one can walk into a temple but not a pagoda. The latter being a solid structure, both of which have stupas, but Botataung Pagoda is an exception, this one you can walk into and be blown away by the detailed gold leaf designs covering every aspect. Destroyed by allied bombs in 1943, a golden casket was found during the clean up and rebuilding process.
